How to be a RideSupporter

RideSupporter is a great way to earn extra cash. Plus you’re in charge of your own schedule and can make it as flexible as you want. Find out more.

Begin your RideSupporter journey

  1. Sign up online

Tell us about yourself and set up your PSW profile.

2. Upload your documents

We’ll need a copy of your PSW Certificate, Insurance, and background check. You can also confirm you agree to the Terms of Service when you submit your documents.

3. Start earning

Once your documents are approved you can set up your schedule. Then we’ll start connecting you with RideSupporter bookings.

Instructions

1. Sign up online. This is your chance to get to know us and tell us a little about yourself.

2. Open your invite email. Once we’ve reviewed your submission we’ll send you an email with a link to your next steps.

3. Take photos of the following documents and upload them with your application:

Proof of work eligibility

PSW Certificate or Diploma

Proof of Insurance

Photo of yourself

Two pieces of ID

Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 12 months

Proof of work eligibility. We’re excited to have you as part of the RideSupporter Network. Don’t worry, we’ve got a list of acceptable documents for you to choose from:

Acceptable documents and ID: Birth certificates, citizenship cards, passports, PR cards, work permits, SIN cards or letters, study permits (if it says you can work off-campus), Indian status certificates, Canadian forces ID cards, or Nexus cards.

Unfortunately, we can’t accept scanned copies as they can be hard to read. If you’re uploading a work permit extension letter, don’t forget to include your work permit in the same photo – it helps keep everything organized. If you’re waiting for your renewed PR card, simply show us a photo of your current card along with your extension letter. Thanks for being awesome and playing by the rules!

PSW Certificate. Please show us your official Program Certification or Diploma.

Profile photo of yourself for your RideSupporter ID card. A basic photo that clearly shows your face is all we need. It should look the same as photos you take for other standard ID cards like a Driver’s license or passport photo. 

Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS). Screening must be issued within the last 12 months.

When completing your Vulnerable Sector Screening through Toronto Police Services tps.ca/services/police-record-checks, please use RideSupporter’s Agency Code: 202504TPSONE2C5F

You’ll need two pieces of ID to complete your safety screenings.

  1. Valid photo ID such as an Ontario Driver’s Licence
  2. One other piece of ID from the following list:

  • Credit Card or Debit Card (must have your name on the front)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Health Card
  • Passport
  • Canadian Citizenship Card
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Government Employment Card
  • Student card
  • Indian Status Card
  • Hospital Card

4. Open your approval email. Congratulations! You’re the newest member of the RideSupporter Network. Follow the instructions to set up your Team profile.

5. Set up your Team profile and schedule. We’ll guide you to create and connect your Google Calendar and Uber account to ours. Then tell us when you’re available. We’ll start matching you with Patients.

6. Start earning money! Watch your account balance grow. Get bonuses, too. We pay out every week.

Always have your smart phone with you

Your smart phone is an essential tool. You need to be reachable and to stay in contact at all times during the RideSupporter process.

Documents to keep with you

It’s always a good idea to make sure you’re easily identifiable.

  • Photo ID – Driver’s License, Passport, or other major ID card
  • RideSupporter ID badge – Once you’re approved we’ll email you your unique badge.
